Terms of use
Last updated 4 October 2026
These terms describe how ChartEcho is offered. Bracketed text is a placeholder for the operator to complete.
Who may use it
ChartEcho is for dental clinicians and people they supervise. It is not a service that gives patients a diagnosis.
What the app is
ChartEcho is a periodontal charting and documentation aid. Diagnosis and prognosis suggestions are for the clinician to verify. The clinician is responsible for every diagnosis and treatment decision, including staging, grading, and any plan based on data entered in the app.
The app is not an emergency service. Urgent symptoms need ordinary clinical care.
Patient data
There are no user accounts. Charts stay in the browser and in files the clinician exports, prints, or saves as PDF. The clinician must have the legal basis or the patient's consent to enter patient data, including name, medical record number, smoking status, diabetes status, and HbA1c.
The clinician is responsible for checking measurements, notes, and reports before relying on them, and for protecting exported files.
Acceptable use
Use the app for authorized clinical or educational charting. Do not enter information you are not allowed to process, attempt to break access controls, or treat the browser draft as the only clinical record.
Availability and warranty
The app may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn. It is provided as-is, without a promise that it will be error-free or fit for every workflow. [GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE — to be confirmed by the operator].
To the extent the law allows, ChartEcho is offered without liability for clinical decisions, lost drafts, or damages from use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Privacy
The privacy notice explains browser storage, anonymous feedback, usage events, rate limiting, Vercel hosting, Vercel Web Analytics, and Upstash Redis. Using ChartEcho includes that notice.
